Meet The Council

Mint City Collective Officers

Below are your 2025 Mint City Collective officers that were elected by all of our members. Each Officer runs a one year term and elections happen after the end of the season.

President - Brandon Lewis

Born and raised in Gastonia and moved to Charlotte over a decade ago. I've been in and around the soccer world since playing as a 3 year old at the local Y. Prior to CLTFC, I had been actively involved with the Independence. When MLS was announced, I was ready. I joined MCC back in 2019 and the past 5-6 years has been a whirlwind. At the beginning of the inaugural season, I got the chance to lead the Tifo team and.. well.. you know how that went. I was amazed by the comradery of the local fanbase to come together to put out amazing tifos. Stepping away from 3 years of leading that effort, I wanted to focus on MCC. Hoping to see where we can take this and welcome all to this great collective.

Vice President - Ashley Rosales

Community & Outreach Director - Matt Nolan

I moved to Charlotte at the end of 2021 (originally Michigan, with stops in Chicago and Shanghai along the way), and buying season tickets for Charlotte FC and joining the Mint City Collective have been a huge part of what has made Charlotte rapidly become home for me. I've joined tailgates, watch parties, the gala and other MCC events, and fundraised significantly for MCC's Light the Night fundraiser in 2023. As MCC's Community Outreach Director, I see the opportunity to grow and connect the MCC community, Charlotte FC fandom, and the Charlotte community as a whole - each things that I am passionate about. Please reach out to me with your ideas for things through which we can come together, and come say hi when you see me around!

Watch Parties / Events - Traci Williams

Tailgate & Away Days - Samuel Edwards

I was born in Greenville, SC and raised in Greer, SC but had little knowledge of soccer until the age of 10, when my family and I moved to Brasil. Futebol was everywhere and I quickly became a Corintiano (Corinthians fan, Vai Timão) and fell in love with playing and watching the sport. Fast forward 30 years and I never imagined being a season ticket holder, much less being involved with a supporter’s group. I stumbled on the tailgate for the Atlanta match, first season, and joined the next day. Something about this group just felt right. I started out volunteering at the tailgates for first season, and one thing led to another, and here I am today.

Merchandise - Gregg Franco

Born and raised in Connecticut before moving to Charlotte in 2017, I am most often known as "Pauly's dad".
After Paul took an interest in soccer at a young age we were excited to when it was announced that Charlotte would receive an MLS team and bought tickets to the inaugural match.
Seeing the energy of the supporters section from the 500s, we knew that was where we wanted to be and have been there since.  What I could not anticipate was meeting such a wide array of wonderful people in MCC from a variety of backgrounds.
When I am not attending FC matches or watch parties you can find me at one of Pauly's training sessions or matches with Charlotte Independence where he plays for their U13 competitive team in North Meck.

IT Director - Tom Cipolla

As a long time Liverpool fan, I have always enjoyed watching soccer, so when CLT FC was announced, I couldn't wait to jump on board. I put the reserve on 2 SS tickets and when I told Ellen about the requirements in the SS (stand, sing, cheer, and drink), she said "have fun with your friends, cuz I'm not doing that". But, after attending the inaugral match, she and I rarely missed a match together and it has become "our thing". We were hooked from that moment!

Ellen and I moved to Charlotte from Boston in 1998, but it wasn't until we joined Mint City Collective in 2021 that we really considered Charlotte as our home. We have met so many amazing people and developed close friendships through MCC, and we are forever grateful.  As IT Director, I get to give just a little bit back to this club we love.

Gameday - Bryan Reed

I was born and raised in Charlotte, but have been living in Mooresville for the last 14 years. I loved throwing tailgate parties and away trips for you all last season so I'm honored I was voted in to run it back. I'm a big fan of all Charlotte and North Carolina pro-sports, evidenced by the 3 Charlotte pro-teams as a permanent part of my right arm. In addition to Mint City Collective, I'm a long time Roaring Riot (Carolina Panthers supporters group) member and leader of the Lake Norman Chapter. Looking forward to continue creating an awesome tailgating experience.

Jay Landskroener

Jay is one of Mint City Collective founding members. A passionate fan of soccer culture and sport, he has been involved in supporting local community and clubs since the late 1990’s. Helping to guide MCC to be as ever-inclusive as the best while helping efforts to make charlotte’s supporter culture elite in the league. Cultural passions include chants, flags, tifosi, pyro, and stickers.  Raising kids into the next generation of supporters for Charlotte, Jay has a son and stepson who regularly attend with him and his wife Samantha to games. As a member of the board Jay helps to keep the Collective as inclusive as possible while encouraging engagement with the club and supporting the players with passion and loyalty to the Crown.

Being from England soccer/ football is in my blood. I’ve lived in Charlotte for 6 years now and my wife is a native Charlottean so I was excited for the opportunity to support CLTFC and get involved with MCC.

I grew up a Fulham fan in England so I’m hoping I can finally get behind a team that wins occasionally! I’ve followed Fulham through the divisions in England seeing them play in around 50-60 stadiums from 1992 onwards and a few European stadiums too.
Outside of soccer I am a proud dad of 3 kids (Elizabeth, Will and Sam), husband to a woman much smarter than I am (Erin) and 2 dogs. My day job is Marketing Director here in Charlotte for EchoPark Automotive. And I live in the Belmont neighborhood close to uptown.
I love the discussions and good times I have with MCC members and my goal is to help us create a group that is passionate about soccer, Charlotte, and welcoming to all regardless of background or level of soccer knowledge.

I was born and raised in Monroe, NC. My love of soccer started when my mom signed me up for a rec league when I was in kindergarten and I played throughout high school. While playing in elementary school, I started following the USMNT, which led me to follow Manchester United since Tim Howard played there at the time. I didn’t start following MLS until CLTFC was announced and put down a deposit for PSLs the day they were available. Before joining Mint City Collective, I didn’t know what the concept of a supporters group was. The topic came up while talking to a friend about the team signing a fellow Niner and they suggested joining Mint City Collective. I signed up that night and have been involved ever since.
